Took some “family photos” today. My brother has been in and out of the hospital lately and canceled last minute, so we’re gonna have to go re-do them. The plan was to get a GOOD picture of all the kids to give my mom for Mother’s Day. It’s been planned for a while… today was the last day everyone had off together, so now we won’t be able to get it done in time… We’re a family of procrastinators. It’s the thought that counts right?!
Tryin to add some photos and such to the walls, but everything I do I end up hating. Grrr. Also, that random empty brown frame will be replaced with a red framed picture, it’s just drying out in the shop at the moment.
TBT to the last “Beach trip for Mom’s birthday” we ever took as a family. We used to go every year in August for her b-day. [On the busiest weekend of the year]. Parentals split up shortly after this, never went back there, together, again
Left to Right: baby sister Kayla, BFF Nikkole, older sister Kristy, Me, little brother Bret.
Sorry #Starbucks guy, but that’s not how you spell #kari. :) usually they just spell my name #Carrie, this was the first time they have put the complete wrong name. my #pumpkinspicefrapp was #delicious anyway.
This girl and I… we were each other’s shadows Senior Year of high school. I love her with my whole heart. <3 I met her through a friend, and to be honest, I couldn’t stand her when we first met. Just goes to show, if you look past first impressions and give someone a second chance, your opinion could change! Her family became my family, and I am eternally grateful for that. They were there when I needed them, when my family was not living up to the title. I owe her a lot, and I will never be able to make it up to her.
Anyway, the point of this post… SHE’S COMING HOME! She left for college in Florida in 2005 and got married and lived there ever since. But, SHE’S COMING HOME! SHE’S COMING HOME!! Her and her little family are moving back to Oregon, they are on there way today! I am so excited! I just hope that after 8 years going in quite different directions in life, we will still be like we were. I know things are going to be different, but I hope we can still be friends.
ET Phone home. Love my new shirt. Also, still can’t find just the right product for my hair. I’d like to be able to just leave it down. Not have to straighten it or add a ton of mousse to it. So far, the best is just a little hair spray.
Well Tumblr, this is my 12,000 post. I started this November of 2008. We’ve come a long way. I wanted to commemorate 12,000 with one of the only photos of Zane and I together. It’s from The Marine Corps Ball in 2005. :] That was a fun night.
It’s MY tradition to decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. I haven’t always done it, but I try to. This year I did. :]
I set it all up and decorated it alone. Kind of made me sad, but I’m used to doing things alone these days. And although I love it and think it looks cute, I kind of wish I had a green tree. I’m in the mood for a green tree this year. Oh well. I guess I know what I’m buying at the after Christmas sales..
I have some special ornaments that I love. My little Military Bear. I got him when I lived in San Diego. I dedicate him to all the Military members who can’t be home with their families during the holidays. This year he is especially dedicated to my cousin Theoren. <3
Simba.
Meeko
And these are the rest. Snowflakes, cupcakes, and glittery balls. Oh and my Elvis guitar.
I love my tree! I love Christmas. :] I love colorful Christmas!!

Today we decorated my Mom’s tree. We always go over there and do her tree for/with her. Definitely not my taste, but she likes it. :]

Kayla and Jeremy got their $40 real tree today. Then they went to Walmart and spent $99 on decorations. Well, they bought a bucket of kitty litter too, but everything else was decorations. :]
That’s Kayla and me at the Tree place.

Aaaaaaand, one more. We went over to Gramma’s and put her little tiny tree up for her. I bought her some balls to hang on it, but there were no hooks, so we used paper clips. :]
