but … but she’s black in the book.
I didn’t realize she was black, or dark skinned, in the book either. I guess I skipped over that part. Maybe it was the fact that she reminded me a lot of my sister when she was younger, that I just had my sister pop in my head whenever I read about Rue.. That’s probably why I didn’t acknowledge the character description, I just slapped in a picture of my sister whenever Rue was in the story..
